Color Changes

Harbour Lights made changes in the colors used on several lighthouses during their production runs. These 'official' changes were made because we felt the colors originally chosen for the lighthouse or the water on the piece were not correct.

HL123 Michigan City IN - Water color changed from a greenish blue to blue.
HL129 New London Ledge CT - Water color changed from greenish blue to blue.
HL131M_1.jpg (3818 bytes) HL131 Minot's Ledge MA originally had a greenish water color, which was later changed to blue. In addition there are other modifications in the painting of the ladder, roof, and ring below the lantern room.
HL139 Barnegat NJ - Water color changed from light greenish blue to blue.

HL153 Round Island MI - The brick color was changed from a pinkish-red to a brownish-red.
HL188BT1_4.JPG (17004 bytes) HL188 Beavertail RI was originally painted with a tan tower. We found the actual tower was a gray granite and our 'tan' version was based on photographs of the lighthouse in the evening. About 3,000 of the pieces were made with the tan tower.
