Reunion ScrapbookThere were a lot of memories made during the 1998 Collectors Reunion October 2-4 in Providence Rhode Island. Over the next few weeks, we'll be adding new photos and comments as Albums. Be sure to check back every week to see what's new.
The Barbecue lunch at the Newport Yachting Center on Saturday.
Sunday Brunch!
Seems like a busload of lighthouse enthusiasts may have just descended on Castle Hill Rock Lighthouse! The crowds at each stop required photographers to be a bit more creative to get the shot they were looking for.
As Paul did at the Beavertail stop!
"What kind of appetizer was that again?" one of our collectors seems to be asking the catering help at Saturday evening's dinner.
Lobster eating took a bit of doing and the bib's were welcome!
"All Aboard!" Saturday's cruise on the Vista Jubilee.
New friends shared their interest in lighthouses and Harbour Lights during the leisurely cruise around the bay.
WHERE did you ever get those lighthouse shaped pretzels! Everyone wanted to know! They came from our friends at the Cape Cod potato chip company.
Pulling in close for a view of Goat Island lighthouse within the Newport harbor. They used to keep goats on the island; now they just keep tourists (a Ramada Inn is the only dwelling.)
Kim and "Capt.' Ahab" (John Chidester) pose for Paul's camera.
Bill signed pieces and shared lighthouse stories during registration on Friday.
Suzie and Charlie Copp of California peek at the surprises.
Fred Kuhlman of San Jose checks his e-mail on the computer used for the Website demonstration.
"These are MY babies" Bill seems to be saying about the Rose Island Thumbnail.
Nancy & Bill are surprised by the seahorse wine glasses - a gift from the many on-line Harbour Lights collectors. A set of 12 were given to the Youngers. "Thank You" seems so inadequate! They were lovely!
Looks like another "HL's Angels" jacket is being sold at the Ship's Store.
