Lightship COLUMBIA

Lightship Columbia
Anchor Bay 107

The Lightship Columbia honors the first lightship to serve on the Pacific coast. Launched on April 9, 1892, the Columbia marked one of the most hazardous stretches of water in the United States, the mouth of the Columbia River between Oregon and Washington. Although decommissioned in 1909, the story of the Columbia is an integral piece of American maritime history.
