St. Marks, Florida

Harbour Lights Limited Edition #220

Just south of Tallahassee, on Florida's panhandle, St. Marks Light has been friend to mariners since 1831. One of Florida's oldest active beacons, the lighthouse has endured hurricanes, floods, erosion and even sabotage. In 1842, with the waters of Apalachee Bay threatening the sentinel, the tower was moved to a more secure location. Today the historic station is part of St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.
