Tybee Island GA GLOW

Tybee Island, Georgia

Harbour Lights #423
Signature Series #2

Ravaged by storms, sabotage, and even an earthquake, Tybee Island Light has remained steadfast since 1867. Established before the Revolutionary War and rebuilt after the Civil War, the beacon is still active. In 1999, thanks to Harbour Lights collectors and lighthouse lovers all over the United States, a renovation project was completed that will help preserve this beloved sentinel for generations to come.

Each Signature Series lighthouse has a special label personally signed by Bill Younger. At the Re-lighting of Tybee Island in February 1999, each Harbour Lights sculpture also had a unique label attached to the bottom, as a special fund-raiser for the lighthouse.

The Tybee Island GLOW features 3 keepers houses, 4 outbuildings, 7 trees and the tower.  It depicts the lighthouse in the daymark that will appear when the renovation is completed.
