One of South Florida's most famous structures, this aging brick tower stands proudly after more than 170 years. In 1836, two dedicated keepers defended Cape Florida light from a deadly attack by native Seminoles. One of these brave men gave his life. Cape Florida is shown as it looked before the recent renovation.
